The senator representing Borno South Senatorial district, Senator Ali Ndume is back to the National Assembly after eight months of suspension which a Federal High Court in Abuja said was illegally imposed on him by the Nigerian Senate thus making the suspension null and void.
The senate leadership agreed after a closed-door meeting on Tuesday, that Ndume had served his six months suspension, and will be allowed back.
He was suspended in March, after he was indicted, for raising an alarm over the integrity of some senators, including Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The suspension was extended in September, to November.
