The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo state has interfaced with members of the public through a Christmas carol, stressing the need for eligible voters to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The carol event which took place at the INEC office attracted dignitaries from a all walks of life and officials of the electoral body from the eighteen local councils of the state.
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mutiu Agboke noted that it is worrisome that many people have refused to collect their PVCs which will give them opportunity to choose their future leaders
He added that the commission decided to organise the carol to give INEC staff sense of belonging and maintain a cordial relationship with members of the public.
The REC said INEC in the state is ready maintain its neutral stance among political parties in the state.
