The Nigerian Ports Authority said that its priorities in 2018 would be to improve and entrench global best practices in the country’s port operations.
The managing director of the Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala-Usman made the disclosure at the annual long service and merit award of the agency, where 530 member of staff were recognised for hard work and diligence
Bala-Usman noted that there is need to increase capacity in the country’s ports system especially with the entry and exit of goods.
She maintained that critical steps will be taken at ensuring that Nigeria’s ports is made competitive and user friendly in line with the ease of doing business mandate of government.
