United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres has announced he is sending Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo to Liberia.
Guterres says this is to support the transfer of power peacefully to a democratically-elected President.
He requested Obasanjo, who is a member of the Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board on Mediation, to travel to the capital, Monrovia, from December the 28th to 30th.
This would be Liberia’s first peaceful transfer of power from one democratically-elected leader to another in more than 70 years.

It is communication at the global level, across nations and it is the bilateral and unilateral communication that exists among nations. Without International communication a lot of things will not function properly in many sectors of the different countries in the world. The UN (United Nations) is one of the powerful organizations that promotes international communication as it brings different nations together to dialogue(communicate) for positive progress. From this story one of Nigeria’s own has been appointed U.N envoy to Liberia by the UN secretary-General.
