As part of efforts to reposition technical and vocational education in Ogun State, Governor Ibikunle Amosun has inaugurated the State Technical Institute at Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.
The Institute, which comprises of six workshops and four laboratories is owned by the state government in collaboration with Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea.
While highlighting some of the advantages of the institute, Governor Amosun said the citadel of learning was put up in order to boost educational and economic development of the state.
The governor also used the opportunity to explain more about the interim accreditation of the new Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia and the future of the institution.
