Labour unions in Osun state today prevented civil servants of all categories from resuming to their duty posts after the Christmas holidays.
This followed the industrial action notice issued by the unions last Friday by the state chairman of the NLC, Jacob Adekomi.
As early as 7 o clock in the morning, the unions had taken over the entrance to the state Secretariat, Abeere.
They prevented all workers including workers on grade levels 1 to 7 who have been collecting their full pay from entering.
Adekomi said their demands are not limited to full salary payment.
The state commissioner for information, Adelani Baderinwa said prevention of workers on grade levels 1 to 7 by the labour is uncalled for.
He assured that all the issues raised by the unions would be addressed.
Upon being prevented from entering, the workers on grade levels 1 to 7 refused to go home insisting that they were not owed any salary.
