An Mi-17 attack helicopter of the Nigerian Air Force has crashed in the northeast during a counter-insurgency operation.
The air force Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, confirmed the helicopter had a significant damage but that no life was lost.
He also said the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has directed the constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the cause of the incident.
