Nigeria’s minister of Defence, retired Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali has traced the remote causes of the farmer-herdsmen clashes on the blockage of old grazing routes and the anti grazing laws put in place by some states. The Minister stated this while briefing Statehouse Correspondents at the Presidential Villa after a National Security meeting on Thursday.
He also blamed armed militia made up of illegal immigrants and heavily armed forest guards for recent killings.
