The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed twenty four filling stations in Akure metropolis and Ondo town for selling the product above the pump price to members of the public.
Since the fuel scarcity began, many filling stations in Ondo town are allegedly selling the product above one hundred and forty naira per litre.
In an operation that lasted for three hours, five fuel stations were sealed as DPR officials forced Some stations to sell the product to the public at the normal price.
The DPR team led by Stanley Okwekwe , Deputy Chief Officer ensured that the product was sold at the pump price.
DPR operations controller, Adewale Useni said the operation will be conducted on regular basis.
