Egypt’s national election commission has announced the country will hold a presidential election from March the 26th to 28th.
The commission says candidates must submit their official bids between January the 20th to 29th.
Incumbent Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is widely expected to seek a second term in office.
Sisi, who won a landslide victory in 2013, has yet to announce his candidacy.
It will be Egypt’s third election since the 2011 uprising which ended Hosni Mubarak’s long rule.
