The French ambassador to the United Nations, Francois Delattre, has said recent protests in Iran do not threaten international peace and security.
Delattre disclosed this during a Security Council meeting called by the United States which has been criticised by Iran.
Iran’s ambassador to the U.N., Gholamali Khoshroo, said the U.S. had abused its power as a permanent member of the Security Council.
He said his government has “hard evidence” recent protests in Iran were very clearly directed from abroad.
Pakistani military expert, Amir Rana, wants the international community to respect his country’s efforts to combat terrorism.
Rana made this known in response to recent accusations made by Trump that Islamabad is not doing enough to support American anti-terrorism initiatives in Afghanistan.
But Rana believes Pakistan is self sufficient when it comes to major counter-terrorism operations and the security of its border with Afghanistan.
Earlier in the week, the U.S. government announced it was suspending security assistance to the country.
