Over 655 billion naira was shared among the three tiers of government for December 2017. This was higher than the previous month’s figure of five hundred and fourteen point four billion naira.
The Federal Government received two hundred and seventy eight point seven billion naira, states on the other hand, got one hundred and seventy five point five billion while local governments got fifty one point seven billion naira.
Drop in crude oil export sales alongside production shut-ins and shut-downs, oil theft and continuous pipeline repairs pushed down revenue.
The excess crude account’s balance stands at two point three billion dollars.
