The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Ajayi Boroffice said there is nothing special about the letter written by former president Olusegun Obasanjo to President Muhammudu Buhari, describing it as an advice.
Boroffice who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Science and Technology spoke at the inauguration of a 24-bed obstetric centre at Oka Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state.
He noted that the President has the right to take the advice given to him by Obasanjo or reject it.
The senator noted that the hospital would be handed over to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo for optimal performance.
He promised to make financial provision for the smooth operation of the health centre.
In his remarks, the federal lawmaker representing Akoko South East and South West Federal Constituency, Babatunde Kolawole, said the health centre would enhance access to medical services in the area.
