Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal has expressed his support of mineral exploration in the Sokoto Basin.
Tambuwal and his counterparts in Kebbi, Zamfara and Katsina are all willing to partner with relevant agencies to facilitate the exploration of ethanol and hydrocarbon resources in the basin.
Governor Tambuwal said the Sokoto basin is only a portion of a larger basin which covers northwest Nigeria.
