The United Nations has appointed Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, into the Investments Committee of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund.
According to the Under-Secretary-General of UN, Jan Beagle, the finance minister would serve a one-year term of office effective from January the 1st, 2018.
The UNJSPF is a Fund that provides UN pension, death, disability and the other related benefits for staff of the United Nations and the other organizations admitted to membership in the Fund.
The Fund currently serves 23 member organizations, with more than one hundred thousand active participants and approximately 75,000 retirees in 200 countries.
