#DapchiGirls : U.S. empathizes with Nigeria, tasks citizens on security
The United States has empathized with Nigeria over the recent abduction in Yobe state, in the northeast.
The country’s envoy to Nigeria, Stuart Symington gave his utterances in Kaduna state, where he visited the governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Symington noted that their hearts are filled with pain over the abduction, with some of those abducted in Chibok yet to regain their freedom.
He tasked those keeping the girls hostage to fear God, and allow them freedom to reunite with their families.
The U.S ambassador also tasked Nigerians to be vigilante, and ensure they don’t leave the job of securing the country to security agencies alone.
