A member of the House of Representatives, Afe Olowookere has advised President Muhammudu Buhari to take proactive measures against the menace of herdsmen across the country.
Olowookere gave the advice in Akure while empowering market women in Akure North and South Local Government
The Federal lawmaker who is disturbed about the recent invasion of Akure South Local Government secretariat by herders, said a motion has been moved on the floor of the house to compel the Nigerian government to check the excesses of Fulani herdsmen.
He said the legislature is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that the executive arm of government implement good polices in the county.
The lawmaker however lauded President Buhari’s desire to transform the nation’s economy.
