Confirming the incident to TVC News on phone, a Chief in the affected community, Tope Awe said the deceased had been returning from his farm on Saturday evening when he was ambushed by the herdsmen.
The chief explained that the companion of the murdered man survived the attack and escaped to break the news of the attack.
He said the Police had deposited the late Olayemi’s corpse at the morgue at Ijesa Isu Ekiti General Hospital.
