The Emir of Kano Lamido Sanusi in his capacity as the Patron of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, has sent a delegation on a peace mission to Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose.Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau led the delegation to Ado Ekiti.
TVC News Correspondent, Akin Ogunmola reports that the high powered delegation led by former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau included the National President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle
Breeders Association and its Chairmen in Kogi, Ondo, Osun and Oyo States.
Governor Fayose accompanied the delegation on a courtesy visit to the Palace of Ewi of Ado Ekiti where they were received by the Ewi in Council and two other traditional rulers.
Shekarau also delivered the Emir of Kano’s message of peace to a meeting of Stakeholders at the Ekiti State Government House where the National President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and others, had the opportunity to speak up on the farmers – herdsmen crisis.
In his remark, Governor Fayose expressed delight at the Peace Mission embarked upon by the Emir of Kano and urged all concerned to allow it to bring true peace in the country.
The delegation later went into a close – door meeting with the stakeholders.
