President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers has tasked stakeholders in the banking sector to raise the bar of professionalism.
Professor Segun Ajibola made this position known at a courtesy visit to the management and staff of the University of Lagos.
He stressed that the era where banking business operations was left in the hands of all comers across the country has come to an end.
He added that undergraduates and fresh graduates need to key into the operations of the professional body to help achieve more confidence in the sector.
For the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, the institution will give the banking professional necessary support.
