The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency has released the forecast that will determine the outlook of the industry in Nigeria for 2018 and 2019.
At a programme to mark the occasion, the Director General of the maritime agency, Dakuku Peterside explained that the forecast would deal with how developments on the international scene will affect the industry in Nigeria, and will also serve as a guide for investors and Stakeholders in the maritime sector.
He said the forecast explores the various projected impact of shift to digital shipping in Nigeria and also analyzes its attendant effect on Nigerian shippers.
Peterside also noted that the impact of global emphasis on Blue Economy and how Nigerians can benefit from it is included in the forecast .
