Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has cautioned newly appointed cabinet secretaries that it will not be business as usual as he seeks to deliver on his “Big Four Agenda” which includes provisions for affordable housing, universal health-care, food security and enhanced manufacturing.
Kenyatta challenged the cabinet secretaries to play their role decisively in service delivery to the people during their swearing-in ceremony at the State House in Nairobi on Friday.
The president also warned the newly appointed cabinet secretaries to prepare for the tough task ahead.
The government is committed to unprecedented service delivery to the people of Kenya, said Kenyatta, urging the new appointees to take up their duties in the interest of the nation and not for their selfish interests.
Kenyatta, who praised the new look of the cabinet as the true face of the nation, said integrity and dedication is not optional.
