The Senate has confirmed seven out of nine nominees for the position of Resident Electoral Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The confirmation follows the screening of the nominees at the committee level and the adoption of a report submitted during plenary by Chairman, senate committee on INEC.
The nominees are Baba Yusuf from Borno ,Uthman Abdulrahman from Kwara, Segun Agbaje from Ekiti, Cyril Omorogbe from Edo State and others.
Recall that the red chamber has vowed not to consider any nominees of executive until presidency agreed to replace Ibrahim Magu as the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
