A suicide bombing killed at least three and wounded five in an attack in the diplomatic area of Afghanistan’s capital Kabul .
Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said the attack took place in the area near the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) headquarters and not far from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul.
He added that the injured have been sent to hospital and warned the casualty count could rise.
The Taliban in Afghanistan has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
The security situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating, with attacks becoming more frequent since the beginning of this year.
