Zimbabweans pay tribute to late opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai
Thousands of supporters gathered at Harare’s Freedom Square this Monday for the last farewell of the late opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai.
People were seen dancing and cheering before settling down to listen to Tsvangirai’s family members and leaders of Movement for Democratic Change party speak from the stage.
Arguably Zimbabwe’s most popular politician, Tsvangirai died last Wednesday, at the age of 65,
after a long battle with cancer.
The funeral is expected to take place tomorrow in Tsvangirai’s home village of Buhera.
