The 12-man committee set up to unravel the circumstances behind the unfortunate abduction of more than one hundred girls in Dapchi community, Yobe state has hit the ground running.
It plans to source facts from stakeholders in Damaturu and beyond.
The 12-man probe committee was set up by the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno to determine the circumstances that led to the abduction of the school girls from their school on the 19th of February.
Members of the committee visited the Yobe state government to outline their terms of reference.
In his response, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam commended the idea of the committee, noting that it would raise the hopes of affected parents and Yobe state at large.
Governor Gaidam urged the committee to strictly be guided by the terms of reference, stressing that the report of the committee should help avert tragic incidents in vulnerable locations within Yobe state in future.
