Speakers at the Stakeholders Alliance For Corporate Accountability meeting tagged “Townhall Sensitization Campaign Against Pipeline Vandalism” have identified pipeline surveillance contract as one major problem that causes sabotage of Oil Company facilities. TVC News Correspondent, Ovieteme George reports that NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru said the country lost about 700, 000 barrels per day of crude oil to pipeline vandalism in 2016.
Expressing concern about the erosion of the nation’s wealth via sabotage, stakeholders met for a Townhall Sensitization Campaign Against Pipeline Vandalism for Okordia-Zrarama Clans.
Speakers at the sensitization campaign hold firm to the opinion that Nigeria and the Oil Company will always lose much to pipeline vandalism but the people and immediate environment tend to suffer more.
The Stakeholder Alliance For Corporate Accountability is hopeful that something good will come at the meeting.
