A conference in Abuja to ensure chemicals particularly those that can be used for IEDs don’t get into the wrong hands has ended in Abuja with several agreements.
The agreements include expanding the scope of the food and drug regulator- NAFDAC- to develop a whistle-blowing measure against the diversion and illicit use of fertilizers and other chemical substances.
The five day conference noted with dismay how substance abuse is fueling violent conflicts particularly terrorism.
