The Consumer Protection Council has said electricity service providers should be more sensitive to consumers’ needs. The agency warned the public to stop shortchanging the power distribution process during an electricity town hall meeting organized by the Consumer Protection Council in the Bwari area council of the Federal capital territory .
The session was to allow for interactions between electricity consumers and service providers.
The community residents who haven’t enjoyed good power supply for a long time also had the chance to bare their minds.
The Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission assured consumers that it’s soon to be implemented Meter Asset Provider Regulation will help put an end to their concerns .
The electricity town-hall meeting is organised from time to time by the Consumer Protection Council.
It is part of the agency’s efforts at ensuring power consumers get better value for money.
