Senator Dino Melaye has threatened to sue the inspector-general of police if he does not produce the two suspects who levelled allegations against him.
Speaking on the floor of the senate on Wednesday, Melaye said instead of producing the suspects in court, the prosecutor asked the judge to issue an arrest warrant.
He urged the police to produce the suspects dead or alive as there are rumours that they may have been killed.
The police had accused Melaye of arming the suspects for robbery and kidnapping.

On Wednesday, the police said the suspects escaped from custody hours to their arraignment in court.
