The Nigerian government says new minimum wage will meet economic realities.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha made this known at an award night organised to mark the Nigeria Labour Congress 40th Anniversary.
The theme of the anniversary : “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, National Unity and Social Justice”.
Mustapha says the primary objective of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan was to diversify the economy, grow skills, create wealth, gain infrastructures, ensure food security and provide jobs.

He added that it is time to reflect on years of struggle, turbulence and service of the Labour congress to the Nigerian workers.
