Former senator that represented Anambra Central, Senator Uche Ekwunife has called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to flush out corrupt judges in the system, to enable the people have their absolute confidence in the nation’s judicial system.
She alleged that her mandate was stolen by the November 7,2015 appeal court judgment that nullified an election that produced three senators and ten house of representatives
members under the same political party.
Senator Ekwunife said this at a civil reception held in her honour in Awka, by Anambra stakeholders drawn across the three senatorial zones and political divides.
The former senate committee chairman on Downstream sector who berated the conduct of some corrupt judicial officers, said the nation’s development is anchored on a virile judicial institution, devoid of rascality and engagement of unethical practices.
The participants also enjoined the Nigeria Judicial Council to flush out judges with questionable characters in the interest of collective justice of the citizenry.
The stakeholders meeting attracted Anambra indigenes across the country, where all of them echoed the Rhythm of Justicial Rascality and charged NJC to disengage corrupt judges in the interest of the nation’s judicial system.
