The vice chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Labo Popoola says management of the institution will not hesitate to implement “no work no pay policy” if non-academic staff of the university fails to put an end to their industrial action.
Professor Popoola who stated this in Osogbo said the university has decided to open register for its staff by next week.
The Vice Chancellor said it was unfortunate that the union had embarked on strike for three months in the last six months without considering the implication on the students.
He said the university had met with leaders of the union on many occasions to explain reasons for non payment of their earned allowance which was the bone of contention urging parents to intervene.
The Non-academic Staff Union of the university had embarked on strike since Monday to registered their grievances over non payment of their earned allowance, lack of promotion and other entitlements.
