Students of Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo State have suspended their three-day protest over hike in their tuition.
The decision to suspend the protest was reached after representatives of the student union met with Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in Akure.
A statement by Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Yemi Olowolabi, said the students agreed to call off the protest to allow the state government to intervene.
Members of the university’s governing council will meet with the Governor today to find a lasting solution to the issue.
