He was speaking at the extraordinary session of ECOWAS held in Lome.

State House Correspondent, Mariah Olasehinde reports that the goal Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority Of Heads Of State and Government is to fashion out a solution to the political impasse in Guinea Bissau.

Faure Gnassingbe in his opening address affirmed ECOWAS readiness to tackle the Guinea Bissau crisis. He commended Nigeria for her role in the integration of West African States.

Appreciating Faure Gnassingbe’s commendation, Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo affirms Nigeria’s position as the major contributor to ECOWAS by explaining the role she has played

Speaking on the presentation and consideration of report on the situation in Guinea Bissau, Osinbajo says he is optimistic the resolutions will be implemented

At the end of the session it was agreed that the outcome of this meeting will form the roadmap to restoring stability to Guinea Bissau.
