The Nigerian Army has confirmed that its troops killed 21 armed bandits in the ongoing clearance operation at Tunga Daji in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara.
Wednesday’s shootout occurred about a week after more than 50 persons were killed by bandits in Bawar daji district of the local government.
The governor directed the military to shoot on sight anybody found with arms in the bush.

Director, Army Public Relations,Brig. – Gen. Texas Chukwu, said many bandits escaped with gunshot wounds in battle with soldiers on April 4.
