A two day Federal and States Security Administrators meeting has been declared open in Katsina state by Governor Aminu Bello Masari where he called on the Federal government to look into the issue of funding security agencies operating in the state.
Governor Masari said more than N60m (sixty million naira) is being spent monthly to support and assist for smooth conduct of security operations across the state.
He urged the participants to properly discuss issues and proffer solutions to the security challenges across the Country.
Permanent secretary in Office of Secretary to the government of the federation Sulaiman Halliru stated that more than two hundred and fifty seven people lost their lives across the Country in thirty incidents involving farmers- herdsmen clashes.
He listed frequent cases of Kidnapping and adoption as a national menace.
Chairman of the Katsina state Dialogue and Amnesty program calls for more synergy amongst the various security agencies and also security intelligence should be properly acted upon.
