The Nigerian Navy said it has intercepted a barge along the Isaka River of Rivers State laden with about seventy thousand liters of suspected illegally refined crude.
Authorities of the Nigerian Navy Ship pathfinder said the suspects abandoned the product and barge in an attempt to evade arrest by the patrol team.
The seized items have now been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for further investigation.
