The fourth edition of the Lagos City Marathon has been fixed to take place on February 2 and it is expected to feature over 150,000 athletes.
Defending champion, Abraham Kiprotich of France makes a return in a bid to win a second successive title
The top prize for this race is 50,000 dollars.
The women’s race will have 2017 winner Rodah Tanui looking to regain the top prize.

Local elite athletes hope to upstage the foreign runners this year with hope for places in the top 10 for a share of the huge dollars on offer.
With the winner in the men and women’s category getting 50,000 dollars each, the second placed gets 40,000
