An Abuja Chief Magistrate Court has issued a warrant of arrest on the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick and four other board members of the Federation.
Others are first vice president -Seyi Akinwunmi, second vice president, Shehu Dikko, General secretary -Sanusi Mohammed and board member- Ahmed Yusuf.
The warrant of arrest dated January 8 and issued by Mabel Segun- Bello, Chief Magistrate II, directed all police officers to arrest the accused persons.
The NFF officials, according to the warrant of arrest are charged with theft, criminal conspiracy and criminal misappropriation.
Reacting to the development, the accused persons said the warrant of arrest from the court was unnecessary.
They told TVC News they have not been contacted nor invited by the court, hence issuing a warrant was not in line with the right process.
