The judge involve in the case of the Offa Bank robbery suspects has adjourned the case to January 18th, 2019.
The prosecution counsel in the Offa robbery suspects trial had asked for the adjournment of the definite hearing of the case. Jimoh Mumini said this became necessary because of the failure of the police to produce witnesses and exhibits that will assist in the commencement of the definite hearing of the case.
Justice Halima Saliman had fixed, Monday, January the 7th for the definite hearing of this the case
Addressing the court, the DPP said he had made three telephone calls to the police headquarters in Abuja before he was assured only yesterday that the witnesses and the exhibits would be brought to Kwara state on Monday, 7th January, 2019.
He told the court that, Deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari who led the investigation pleaded with him to urge the court to vacate the order definite hearing earlier fixed for Monday (today)
The defence counsel, Mathias Emeribe did not object to the plea and also agreed with the prosecution that the case be adjourned till January the 18th.
