The National Primary Health Care Development Agency said it is ready to enhance the capacity of primary health care centers across the country for optimum service delivery.
Executive Director Of the agency, Faisal Shuaibu disclosed this to newsmen after a two-day workshop of the agency in Lafia, capital of Nasarawa State.
Godwin Agwam reports that the importance of Healthcare delivery at the primary level can not be over emphasized. This strata of health care delivery caters for up to 75 percent of the health needs of Nigerians.
It is as a result of this, that the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency organized a retreat for its members across the country to chart a new course for the sector.
For the executive secretaries of various states, they are ready to hit the ground running to achieve their goals. The agency is hopeful that it would achieve a robust primary health care system in the next four years.
