The Federal High Court sitting in Akure has adjourned the suit filed by All Progressives Congress House of Representatives Aspirant, John Ojo Adanike challenging the party’s primary election.
In his ruling, the Judge, Justice Abdul Dogo held that the judgement of the court of appeal empowered the the trial court to hear interlocutory and substantive suit together in pre-election matters.
The court would also decide the same at the final judgement stage .
Mr Adanike is challenging the nomination of Ade Adeogun as APC candidate for Akoko Southwest/Akoko southeast federal constituency.
He also claimed that the APC never held any primary election in Ondo state thereby denying him the lawful right to represent his constituency despite meeting the requirements set by the party.
The trial has now been adjourned to 22nd of March, 2019
