A Federal high court, sitting in Abuja has suspended judgment in a suit filed by the Legal Defence and Assistant Project (LEDAP) against defections in the National Assembly.
The Court suspended judgment in the suit filed by legal defence and assistant project ,seeking the sack of the president of the senate and 55 other members of the National Assembly for defecting from their political party to other party.
The human rights group was also seeking the court to order them to return all salaries earned during the time of defection to the Federal government.
Other senators names as defendants in the suit include Dino Melaye, Barnabas Gemade as well as some House of Representatives members.
The NGO through its national coordinator, Chino Obiagwu, had argued that there was no division in the parties the lawmakers defected from and that there were no mergers involving any of those parties.
