Civil society organizations around the world and in Nigeria are coming together to form a global network that will champion the need for global
malaria elimination.
TVC’s Kemi Balogun says this is because the civil society is concerned that despite efforts put in place and significant roles played in the malaria
control by both groups and communities, malaria is still a burden.
The global and local impact of malaria has led to launch of the first ever global network of civil society organizations for malaria elimination. These civil groups say this is necessary because there is need for a lot more interventions from various angles.
An improvement on coordination and the harmony of efforts towards improved response and contributions will aid the fight to stop a resurgence of this disease. They are calling on everyone, to beat malaria by joining the fight to eliminate malaria.
With this development, it is expected that global and local advocates will be achieved through a more collective responsibility at all levels.
