Cyclone Kenneth has been downgraded to an ex-cyclone after winds eased, but heavy rainfall is still expected for days in Mozambique.
Although the winds have eased, there are warnings that days of heavy rain could cause serious flooding and landslides.
According to Mozambique’s emergency situation institute, the cyclone hit the northern province of Cabo Delgado on Thursday evening
killing one person and three persons in Comoros.
The country was still recovering from Cyclone Idai, which killed more than 900 across three countries when Kenneth hit with winds.
In some southern areas of neighbouring Tanzania, authorities have ordered schools and businesses to close.
