The Panel of Inquiry set-up by the Ondo State Government to investigate the causes of violence that rocked Oba-Akoko during the House of Assembly election, has asked for extension of time.
The Chairman of the Panel, Femi Awani said the demand for extension of time will give him and his team opportunity to complete their assignment.
Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that Oba-Akoko, is the only community in the State where hoodlums perpetrated violence during the Assembly election.
Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed, and this prompted the State Government to impose curfew in the community, which was lifted after two days.
The Chairman of the Panel, Femi Awani after receiving reports from different parties, asked government to give him and his team more time. He said the two weeks given to the panel was not enough to complete the assignment.
