A religious group has called on the federal government to focus on creating a better platform for peaceful coexistence. The group made this call at the federal Capital, Abuja, with the aim of drawing the government’s attention away from political distractions.
Mayowa Okunato reports that “One nation bound in freedom Peace and unity” these words are found in Nigeria’s national anthem.
However, this religious group says that the opposite is the case. The group said the government has not effectively managed the nation’s
diversity, and this is the cause of such issues as domestic violence, ethnic conflicts, and religious conflicts.
The group urges the federal government to get a firmer grip on these issues before things get out of control.
Emphasis was laid on the importance of peaceful coexistence and it’s impact on the nation.
The group wants the Government to create a better platform for a peaceful coexistence in order to promote human development.
