The cashout operation of the Tradermoni programme of the Federal Government has resumed in Ekiti State after a temporary halt of the
empowerment programme.
The programme was put on hold in the state a couple of weeks back when some field officers in charge of the distribution were caught
defrauding beneficiaries.
The Coordinator of the programme in Ekiti State Oskar Ayeleso told newsmen that the officers indicted in the cash out fraud have been sanctioned.
Oscar Ayeleso added that the enumeration team would also continue fresh registration in markets across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
Beneficiaries commend the Federal Government for the programme describing it as a lifeline.
Under the Tradermoni programme, petty traders are paid ten thousand naira each without any collateral and when they pay back, the amount is increased.
