A group of unemployed youths stormed the gates of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, protesting the demolition of a business owned by a youth in Abuja.
The group are seeking government’s intervention within seventy-two hours.
TVC’s Kemi Balogun reports that the youths staged march through the streets of the federal capital territory to protest what they tag as a wrongful demolition of a thriving business located in one of the gardens within Abuja.
Visibly upset by this recent event, members of the group called for adequate compensation for the losses incurred by the young business owner.
The leader of the group said they are calling on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory to find a way to address the situation or face a
full blown protest within 72 hours.
The youths want the government to encourage entrepreneurship by young Nigerians who are willing to delve into it so as to reduce the high
unemployment rate in the country.
